I don't think my husband's carer was representative of the care Elder give. I hope for Elder's sake she wasn't!! She spent an hour in the shower and wanted 2 a day!! never told my husband what she was doing, more interested in her computer and mobile phone. Broke the waste bin. We were not happy as her communication skills were almost zero and in no wy did she offer companionship. We complained to Elder who paid for our new bin lid and they spoke to the carer . Everyone I have been in contact with at Elder have been very polite, helpful and made me feel as if they really care rather than just doing a job. I have been very happy with their service.

Should have switched to Elder years ago. Helping Hands were a headache and heartburn for years. Their front line carers are good but the incredibly expensive unwieldy, inefficient organisation behind will cost you £250 a week more.

I was very impressed and found both men I spoke with were very happy to listen to my situation trying sort affordable care out fir my mum with dementia at home .At present family are rallying around but I feel I have a safety net available if all falls through or if need 3 days or more cover .I will contact again if required and found the support very helpful .

I could not begin to tell you the number of people that have come to the house to help me care for my lovely lady who I’ve been with for 6 years in February 2021 she lost her mobility so I have to have a second live in carer because of the hoist having to be used I’ve been send people who can hardly walk themselves. Their videos of carers is helpful. We feel confident that they will resolve any problem and provide care as we need it.
Very organised and quick to deal with matters immediately.

Carers were selected by the provider randomly and we did not have any who could become regular which was the cause of concern.

I have been very impressed with the high quality of care which we have received through Elder. Having received our profile they gave me a choice of Carer with details of their qualifications and a short video of the Carer answering questions about themselves and their interests and hobbies. Elder’s charges are higher than some company’s and the additional charges for food and driving. Make it substantially higher but the quality of service and Carer is very good.

We engaged a carer to look after my husband who has Parkinson’s and for myself as I had just had surgery. He was quite helpful to my husband but did very little to help me and seemed more interested in watching football. We would certainly have a female carer in future.

Elder care was very good and responsive to customer requirements. Two carers we had were good but one not so good. Unfortunately it is down to some peoples attitude to work which Elder resolved immediately. Would recommend them as a provider.
Although early days as we have had a live in carer to look after my mother for only one month. This is possibly a long term need and we are all very happy with the care provided. We were anxious about having another person in our home but it has worked out very well with the development of good relationships.

Our carer was found quickly, after viewing several profiles. When she needed a week off, Elder arranged more interviews for us to choose from who were also excellent.
Extremely efficient company. From the onset Elder took a genuine interest to determine the right carer for an elderly lady. They completely took the stress out of a stressful situation. As a client you receive a dedicated family support manager, there is no breakdown of communication, they actually DO what they say they’ll do! Very professional, very friendly and deliver what you need. I would highly recommend them.
Chances upon the advert on Facebook one Sunday evening. An Elder Care person phoned the following morning. After filling out a detailed form about our needs, which was swiftly followed up with a 15 minute phone interview, the Elder coordinator sent two video profiles of Carers she thought would suit. We chose one, and she proved excellent. Can’t rate Elder highly enough! My Dad enjoyed a fortnight’s care and companionship while I had a break. Will use Elder again as soon as I can!
